The Fort Hays State women's cross country team played host to the 2010 MIAA Cross Country Championships on Saturday morning (Nov. 6) at the FHSU cross country course. The 6 kilometer race had 85 participants from the 10 participating MIAA schools.

FHSU was led by Heidi Hines, who finished in 16th place with a time of 22:35. Hali Mobley and Amie Algrim finished close behind, in 19th and 20th respectively. Raven Boettger in 36th and Gentry Linscott in 45th were the other Tigers that made up the team scoring. FHSU finished in 5th place with a team score of 134. With their placing in the top 20, Hines, Mobley and Algrim receive All-MIAA Honorable Mention honors.

Karen Grauel from Truman State won the race in a time of 21:18. Pittsburg State took the team championship with a team score of 44.
