Fort Hays State Launches New Athletics Website

The Fort Hays State University Athletic Department proudly announces the release of its new athletics website. Partnering with SIDEARM Sports, one of the top website providers for collegiate athletics, Fort Hays State's new athletics website is more user friendly for Tiger fans. The website address remains the same as the old site, www.fhsuathletics.com, only with a major facelift.

The new website allows the athletic programs at Fort Hays State to become more visible through the use of several social media applications. The Fan Zone Application will allow fans to receive updates, on two of the top social media sites, Facebook and Twitter, without even coming to the main athletics site. The new site utilizes YouTube for sport highlights and major happenings within the athletic department.

Fans of the Tigers can now sign up for sport-specific text message updates, for any combination of all 16 sports. There is also a sign up for newsletters and an RSS feed for the entire site or individual sports. Fans can check out the latest promotions for upcoming games on the promotions tab in the Fan Zone.

"I researched several athletic website providers for the past few years and none come close to the product that SIDEARM Sports provides to athletic programs," said Ryan Prickett, Fort Hays State University Sports Information Director. "SIDEARM gives you a very professional look and remains on the cutting edge for how they engage your fan base. By subscribing to several of the social media applications available, fans will no longer have to come to our site every time they want information on Fort Hays State Athletics. The information will come to them."

"We are very excited in how our new website engages not only the fans of Tiger Athletics, but also the prospective athletes and students that see the site when making their choice of college," said Curtis Hammeke, Fort Hays State Director of Athletics. "The website has great aesthetic appeal and will help in the recruitment of future student-athletes at Fort Hays State University."
