Results

The Fort Hays State women's cross country team competed at the Colorado College Invitational in Colorado Springs, Colo. on Saturday, September 18. It was the first action of the season for the varsity squad. The Tigers were 3rd out of 9 schools competing.

Leading the Tigers was senior Hali Mobley, who covered the 6 kilometer course in 24:25. Senior Amie Algrim finished 17th in 24:49. Other scorers for the Tigers were sophomore Gentry Linscott who finished 19th, junior Heidi Hines who finished 20th and junior Gispy Bird who was 24th. 

Colorado School of Mines won the event with a team score of 40. Colorado College was second with a score of 58 and FHSU came in 3rd with a score of 69. 

The Tigers next action will be next weekend, Saturday, September 25 at the Oklahoma State Cowboy Jamboree in Stillwater, Okla.
