Fort Hays State senior
Jordan Nixon was one of five golfers named to the All-MIAA Women's Golf Team, announced on Wednesday (Apr. 25). Head coaches from the five MIAA schools that have women's golf selected the team.
Nixon, a native of Salina, Kan., led the Tigers in scoring average (82.1 strokes per round) in 2011-12. She finished fourth at the MIAA Championships a week ago, earning All-MIAA Tournament Team honors and helping the Tigers to their first conference title in the MIAA. Nixon transferred to FHSU prior to her junior season from McNeese State University.
Nixon joined Cassie Lowell and Steph Charteris of Northwest Missouri State, Natalie Bird of Missouri Western, and Payton Schooler of Lincoln as the five golfers selected to the team. Nixon was the only senior selected to the team.
