Fort Hays State men's track and field athletes Jordan Carlisle and Brett Ottley have been named to the United States Track and Field/Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCA) All-Academic Team for 2012. A total of 164 men earned this honor in NCAA Division II. Athletes must have a cumulative GPA of 3.25 and reached automatic or provisional qualifying standards for the NCAA Championships in either the indoor or outdoor seasons of 2012.

Both Carlisle and Ottley were participants at the NCAA Division II Outdoor Track and Field Championships for FHSU. Carlisle's top mark in the high jump this year was 6 feet, 10.75 inches. Ottley's best mark in the pole vault was 16 feet, 2 inches. Both finished second at the MIAA Championships in their respective events. Carlisle is a freshman from St. Joseph, Mo., and Ottley is a sophomore from Victoria, Kan.
