Fort Hays State tennis coach
Brian Flax announced the signing of two players for 2014-15. Joining the Tigers next year will be Taylor Stout from Olathe, Kan. and Jessica Johnson from Larned, Kan.
Taylor Stout is currently at senior at Olathe South High School in Olathe, Kan. She was the No. 1 singles player at Olathe South for four years. She was the Team MVP three times in her career and a two-time state qualifier. She put together a singles record of 18-12 as a senior and helped Olathe South to more than 100 wins in her time with the program.
Jessica Johnson is currently a senior at Larned High School in Larned, Kan. She won over 20 matches in each of her last three-years of high school, amassing a total of 83 wins in high school. She was a three-time state qualifier and a state placer as a senior. Johnson plans to major in music at Fort Hays State.
"Taylor and Jessica will have an immediate impact on our program next year," said Flax. "I can't wait for them to join our squad."
