The Tiger tennis team fell by a score of 5-1 to Northwest Missouri State on Thursday afternoon (Apr. 11) in Topeka, Kan. in a MIAA match. The Tigers are now 8-8 overall and 2-6 in the MIAA. The Tigers play another neutral site MIAA match in Topeka on Friday morning against Truman.
The teams agreed to play to just the clinching fifth point in the match. The teams engaged in singles play first and did not need any doubles matches to determine a winner as Northwest Missouri State won five of six singles matches.
Brittney Ricci was the only Tiger to win her singles match at the No. 2 position in straight sets by scores of 6-1, 6-0.
Camille Caron-Bedard went three sets at the No. 1 singles position, taking the second set 7-5 before getting blanked in the final set.
