The Fort Hays State tennis team fell in non-conference action at Newman University in Wichita, Kan. on Saturday (Apr. 13) by a score of 9-0. The Tigers are now 9-9 overall.

Fort Hays State's No. 1 team of Brittney Ricci and Melissa Skovira had the closest match in doubles competition, losing 8-4. The No. 2 and No. 3 teams for FHSU fell by scores of 8-1.

Brittney Ricci had the closest singles match at the No. 2 position, going three sets before falling 6-2, 2-6, 10-12. Skovira dropped a second set tiebreak and was unable to force a third set. All but Ricci's match ended in straight sets.
