Fort Hays State head tennis coach
Brian Flax announced two signings for the upcoming 2013-14 season. Katie Hipp and Raven Dick come to the program as true freshmen from high school.
Hipp comes to FHSU from Central Plains High School in Claflin, Kan. She compiled a career record of 97-24 in high school and finished her senior year 31-2 with a second-place finish in state at No. 1 doubles. Hipp was a three-time state placer in high school.
Dick comes to FHSU from Poudre High School in Fort Collins, Colo. She is a two-year varsity player and has played at the competitive Lewis Tennis School in Fort Collins. Last spring, she posted a record of 8-2 for Poudre.
Coach Flax said “I am extremely happy to bring these ladies into our program. They are very athletic and their best tennis is still ahead of them.”
Hipp and Dick join Reinette Strydom from Holdrege, Neb. as individuals to sign with Tiger tennis going into 2013-14.
