Six Players Make Up Tiger Volleyball 2008 Recruiting Class
Fort Hays State University head volleyball coach Steve Smith announced today the signing of six individuals for the 2008 volleyball season. The recruiting class includes one junior transfer and five freshmen. The junior transfers is Lilian Rezende and freshmen include Lindsey Larson, Rebecca Mausbach, Tracie Hileman, Morgan Witzel and Trisha Tholen. Read more...

Volleyball Lands Eight On MIAA Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll
The Fort Hays State volleyball squad had eight members of its 2007 team named to the MIAA Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll. The eight members of the team earning the honor were seniors Whitney Miller, Neeley Remmers and Sarah Schinstock, juniors Jessica Faulkner, Whitney Hoffman and Leanna Roberts, and sophomores Lydia Karnopp and Chandell Monteleone. Schinstock Named To ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District Volleyball Team
Fort Hays State volleyball middle hitter Sarah Schinstock was named to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District Volleyball Team. She was the lone representative for the Lady Tigers. FHSU Volleyball’s Bid For Conference Tournament Comes Up Just Short
The Fort Hays State volleyball squad hosted #18 ranked Pittsburg State in its final regular season game of 2007 Saturday evening in Hays at Gross Coliseum. After falling down 2-0 in the match, FHSU forced five games in the match in a remarkable comeback effort. Unfortunately, the comeback came up just short as the Lady Tigers were needing a win to make the MIAA Tournament. A 3-2 win for Pittsburg State brought the Lady Tigers’ season to a close. Lady Tigers Win In Four At Newman
The Fort Hays State volleyball team was in action on Tuesday night at Newman University in Wichita, Kan., for its final non-conference match of the regular season. Newman gave FHSU a fight early, but the Lady Tigers would pull away from the Jets in games three and four to claim a 3-1 match victory. Scores of the games were 30-28, 28-30, 30-21, 30-22. The Fort Hays State volleyball squad played on Friday evening in Joplin, Mo., against conference opponent Missouri Southern. The Lady Tiger volleyball team was in action Tuesday at Southwest Baptist in another MIAA match. The Lady Tigers picked up their first ever road win in the MIAA by a score of 3-1 over the Lady Bearcats. More importantly, it helped FHSU in the MIAA standings. Junior college transfers are Alissa Tonniges from Central Community College (Neb.) and Samantha Kern from Otero Junior College (Colo.).
