The Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association announced their all-conference selections for women's basketball on Monday, March 3. Seniors Sheena Kuntzsch and Brianna Willhite were both named All-MIAA Honorable Mention. For Kuntzsch and Willhite, it was their first all-conference selection at Fort Hays State. Fort Hays State University women's basketball senior guard Sheena Kuntzsch was named to the CoSIDA/ESPN The Magazine Academic All-America Women's Basketball Team. Kuntzsch earned third-team honors for the College Division. The Fort Hays State women’s basketball team hosted Missouri Western on Saturday evening (February 16) at Gross Memorial Coliseum in Hays. The Lady Tigers picked up a much-needed win with a thrilling 81-79 win over the Griffons. Fort Hays State University seniors Brianna Willhite and Sheena Kuntzsch were each named to the Humboldt State Classic All-Tournament Team for their efforts in the event this past weekend. Willhite and Kuntzsch each averaged 16.5 points in the two wins for FHSU. Fort Hays State women's basketball newcomer Sandi Dreitz played in the Kansas Basketball Coaches Association All-Star Game held at Lee Arena in Topeka, Kan., this past Wednesday, August 1.
