The Fort Hays State women’s basketball team played its final home game of the season on Saturday night (March 1) in Hays. The Lady Tigers hosted Northwest Missouri State in a must win situation to have a chance at the MIAA Tournament. FHSU defeated Northwest Missouri 69-59, but Missouri Western won its game which kept the Lady Tigers from qualifying for the tournament. Fort Hays State University women's basketball senior guard Sheena Kuntzsch was named to the CoSIDA/ESPN The Magazine Academic All-America Women's Basketball Team. Kuntzsch earned third-team honors for the College Division.
