Justin Glenn earned Athlete of the Week for his performances in Tiger wrestling duals. The senior went a perfect 11-0 during the dual season for FHSU. Last week Glenn went 4-0 in duals as the Tigers went 3-2.
In the MIAA Duals last Sunday, Glenn went 2-0 on the day as the Tigers went 3-0. Glenn won via a forfeit against Central Missouri, which the Tigers won 40-6, and won in a 4-1 decision over Austin Garza of Lindenwood in the Tigers' 39-7 win.
On Wednesday, in the Tigers' double dual, Glenn once again went 2-0. Against Grand Canyon's Jordan Johnson, who is ranked No. 3 in the nation, Glenn won a 3-2 decision, however, the Tigers fell 22-12. Glenn won his second match of the night via a 3-2 decision over Nebraska-Kearney's Kevin Barrett. FHSU dropped the dual, 19-12.
Glenn, a senior from Enid, Okla., is 19-5 this season. He has two second place finishes at tournaments, including second at the Bob Smith Open. Glenn placed fourth at the Nebraska-Kearney Open to start the season.
The Tigers finished the regular season 7-5 and 3-5 in the RMAC. Fort Hays State hosts the NCAA II West Regional/RMAC Championships on Saturday and Sunday (Feb. 25-26). The event starts at 9 a.m. on Saturday.
