Alexis Aiman has been named Athlete of the Week for her performance for the FHSU women's soccer team. The Tigers went 2-0 last week and are now 3-1 on the season, winning three-straight games.
Aiman led the Tigers in a 6-0 win over McPherson College on Wednesday. The freshman midfielder barely missed a hat trick, scoring two goals in the win. She almost knocked in a third goal, but a second half shot was barely wide of the goal. She also added an assist on what would be the game winner early in the contest as Sade Humphrey scored at 0:46.
The Tigers also defeated Midland University, 2-0, on Friday. Aiman played 55 minutes, totaling five shots, including two on goal. Jordan Hester and Cindy Benitez scored the goal for the Tigers in that game.
Aiman is tied for the team lead in goals and points on the season with two goals and five points. Fellow freshman Jordan Hester and Kylie Watson also have two goals and Hester totals five points to tie Aiman.
The Tigers are 3-1 this season, winning three straight games. FHSU starts the conference schedule, hosting UCM on Friday (Sept. 14).
