Courtney Dobson started all four games and hit an impressive .636 (7-for-11) with a .727 slugging percentage in the opening weekend of MIAA action. Dobson tied for the team-high with five RBI and had a double and three runs scored.

Additionally, the sophomore showed poise at the plate by drawing five walks and striking out just once in 16 total plate apperaences.

Combined against Central Missouri, Dobson went 3-for-5 with three RBI and two walks. Combined against Southwest Baptist, Dobson finished 4-for-6 with a double, two RBI and two walks.
