Nelson Vazquez was the first men's champion on the track at the Fort Hays State Open, claiming a provisional mark with his time of 10.57 seconds in the 100-meter dash. Vazquez also tallied a victory in the 200-meter dash with a time of 21.77 seconds, just over a provisional mark.
