Te'i recorded three sacks and a total of six tackles from the defensive end position in Fort Hays State's 7-6 win at No. 8 ranked Pittsburg State. He recorded two of the three sacks on the opening drive of the second half, forcing a 3-and-out by the PSU offense and set the tone for the remainder of the game. He helped the FHSU defense limit the top scoring offense in the conference to just 240 yards, a pair of field goals, and no touchdowns. FHSU held PSU to -1 yards in the third quarter, forcing a 3-and-out on all three PSU drives. FHSU defeated Pitt State for the first time since 1978, ending a 35-year run of going winless against the Gorillas.
