Ludwin qualified for the NCAA Division II Championships for the first time in his career by placing third at the NCAA West Super Regional.

Ludwin dropped his first match of the tournament, but responded winning four straight. Ludwin won his first match of day two with a pin over the No. 2 ranked Dustin Reed of Newman University at the 2:50 mark. He didn't stop there going on to win the third-place match with another pin over Central Oklahoma's Zach D'Amico, who knocked off Ludwin in the first round.

Ludwin has recorded five-consecutive 20 win seasons at FHSU.
