Simmons, one of the key reserves for the Fort Hays State men's basketball team, had one of his best games of the year in the Tigers 83-59 defeat of the defending MIAA champion's Central Missouri.
Simmons played a season-high 30 minutes in the contest and tied his season high with 16 rebounds, which including 15 defensive boards. He was 4-6 from the field and fell just shy of a double-double with 8 points. Simmons also had three blocked shots, two assists and a steal in the contest.
For the season, Simmons is averaging 4.2 points per game and shooting 55.3% (26-47) from the field. He is also the leading rebounder for the Tigers, averaging 6.5 boards per game.
