Justin Glenn was tabbed as the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Wrestler of the Week on Tuesday, January 25, for his efforts in five duals this past week. Glenn, a junior from Enid, Okla., wrestles in the heavyweight class for FHSU. He also played football for the Tigers for the past four years.
Glenn posted a record of 5-0 this past week, helping the No. 19 ranked Tigers to a 4-1 record for the week in dual action. He started his week by notching a 4-3 decision over Lorenzo Serna of Newman University in a 31-13 win for FHSU. He then went unbeaten in all four duals at the Central Missouri Jamboree.
In Fort Hays State's first dual at the event, he pinned Taylor Poe of Ouachita Baptist in a 36-12 win for the Tigers. He then had the decisive wins in a pair of close duals with University of Indianapolis and No. 16 ranked Wisconsin-Parkside. He posted a 5-2 decision over Evan Wooding of Indianapolis, breaking an 18-18 tie in the final match of the dual. He then defeated Vince Depp of Wisconsin-Parkside to seal another win, after the Tigers led just 18-17 heading into the final match. He finished his week with a 6-3 win over Martin Patron of University of Mary in the final dual of the week.
Glenn is now 18-3 overall this season and has won 11 of his last 12 matches.
