Rhys Pihl played a very important part in helping the Fort Hays State women's basketball team push their win streak to five games with wins in the past week over Missouri Western 71-68 and No. 11 Washburn 68-59.

Pihl scored 9 second half points against Missouri Western, including a drive to the basket with 3:14 remaining that cut the lead to one at 68-67 and the go-ahead basket for the Lady Tigers with 39 seconds remaining in the game. Against the Lady Blues, Pihl hit six consecutive free throws in the final 3:27 to help seal the victory, which was the Lady Tigers first win over Washburn since 1994.
