Alonso Rodriguez played a pivotal role for the No. 11 ranked Men’s Soccer team over the weekend with two timely goals off the bench in the 3-1 victory over No. 19 ranked Northeastern State (No. 15) to capture their fourth Central Region Championship in program history. Rodriguez provided the equalizer in the 81st minute before giving the Tigers the lead for good just 1:27 later in the 83rd minute. The Tigers then shutout Ohio Valley (Nov. 17), 2-0, to advance to their first National Semifinal appearance in team history.
