Hendee was one of three Tigers to set a new school record at the KSU Open on Friday. Hendee won the 3,000 meter run in a time of 8:34.58, breaking the old record of 8:36.73 set by Dan Yoder in 2008. Hendee's toughest competition in the race came from teammate Cameron Reith, who finished in a time of 8:35.15, which would have also been good enough for a new school record.
