Kayla Smith helped the Tiger women’s indoor track and field team at the Northwest Open hosted by Northwest Missouri State (Jan. 19). Smith boasted a distance of 36 feet, 11 inches to claim sixth-place in the triple jump. Earlier this season, Smith earned a provisional at the UCCS Invite (Dec. 8) in the triple jump with a leap of 38 feet, 3.5 inches.
