Brady Werth helped the Tiger men’s basketball team complete a 2-0 finish to the regular season with key wins over No. 25 Missouri Southern (Feb. 28) and Pittsburg State (Mar. 1). Werth averaged 19.5 points and 11.5 rebounds for the week with a 19-point, nine-rebound performance in upsetting the Lions. Werth then sparked the comeback effort against the Gorillas with a 20-point and a career-high of 14 boards, fueling the Tigers to a No. 4 seed in the upcoming MIAA Tournament (Mar. 6-9) in Kansas City. During the victory over Pittsburg State, Werth crossed the 1,000-point plateau and is currently at 1,011 points in his Tiger career, becoming the 21st Tiger to achieve this honor.
