Bryce Baumwart had a decent week at the plate for the Tiger baseball team against Bethany College and Washburn last week. Baumwart finished the week 5-for-16 from the plate, scored three runs, produced six RBIs and hit his first two home runs of the season. On Friday (April 12), Baumwart launched a fly ball over the left field wall for a solo home run. He then blasted a baseball over the left center wall for a 3-run home run on Saturday (April 13). The Emporia, Kan. native is slashing .286/.333/.619 in 21 at-bats since coming back from a pre-season injury.
