Samantha Ledy, freshman from Colwich, Kan., led the Tigers in hitting percentage and blocks at the Texas A&M-Commerce Tournament this past weekend.
Ledy was impressive on opening day for FHSU. The true freshman had eight kills and just two errors on 16 attempts in her debut, helping the Tigers to a 3-1 win over Arkansas-Monticello. She tied for a team-best .375 hitting percentage in the match, while producing two service aces and three blocks. She led the Tigers in kills in the 3-1 loss to Tarleton State with 10. After recording just one kill against Southern Arkansas, she bounced back with five kills against Texas A&M-Commerce.
Ledy led the team in hitting percentage over the weekend (.238) for players that appeared in all four matches, and leads the team in blocks (10) after the first week of play.
