Alex Whitehill had a career-high 19 tackles in a close 36-31 loss to Truman on the road on Saturday (Sept. 10). The 19 tackles are the most tackles since Dustin Dunn had 20 against Western State in 2005.

The 19 tackles performance follows last weeks total of 15 tackles to give Whitehill 34 on the season, which ranks first on the team.

The McPherson, Kan. native was voted a Preseason First Team All-American for the 2011 season.
