McPhail, a sophomore outside hitter from Liberal, Kan., was one of three FHSU players to earn All-Tournament Team honors at the I.C. Bhakta Invitational, hosted by New Mexico Highlands University this past weekend. She tied for the team lead in kills with Tracie Hileman, each pounding down 58 over the four matches.
In the 3-1 win over Oklahoma-Panhandle State, McPhail produced the most kills in a match by a Tiger this season with 21. She led the team in kills in the first three matches, which included a 19-kill performance against New Mexico Highlands and a 13-kill performance against Eastern New Mexico.
McPhail has a total of 89 kills through eight matches this year and is hitting .210 for the season.
