The Fort Hays State women's basketball team will tip off the 2010-11 campaign this evening (Nov. 15) against Doane College. FHSU defeated Doane last season by a score of 68-62. Game time tonight is set for 5:30 pm at Gross Memorial Coliseum.

FHSU has played two exhibition games so far, falling at Kansas 83-62 and at Kansas State 91-25. Tony Hobson, beginning his third season as head coach, is 2-0 in season openers at FHSU and also 2-0 in home openers. The Lady Tigers have won six consecutive season openers since falling to Southwestern College 88-70 to start the 2003-04 season.

FHSU will be back in action on Wednesday night (Nov. 17), facing Tabor College at 7:00 pm.
