Fort Hays State University Athletics encourages you to "Take a Kid to the Game" this Saturday, Sept. 4, as the Tigers host East Central (Okla.) University. A free youth ticket is available with the purchase of an adult ticket. Game time is set for 7 pm at Lewis Field Stadium in Hays.

The TAKG program is entering its 15th year. This is a grassroots initiative that encourages adults to take a kid to a participating institution's NCAA Football game and provides the youth of your local community the opportunity to be part of the thrills and excitement of the in-person college sports experience.

Fort Hays State is off to a 1-0 start and looks to keep a clean slate in non-conference play for the second straight year. Fort Hays State started the season with a bang last week with a 45-20 win over Western State followed by a fireworks extravaganza in front of more than 5,000 fans. Join in the excitement of Tiger football the rest of the season with six home games still remaining.
