The Fort Hays State men's soccer team couldn't get their offense going, falling 1-0 on the road to Eastern New Mexico on Friday night (Oct. 28) in Portales, N.M. After going unbeaten for 10 games, the Tigers have lost their last two, dropping their record to 9-4-2 on the season, the Tigers first in school history.

In a scoreless first half, the host Greyhounds totaled eight shots, while the visiting Tigers finished the first 45 minutes with six.

The second half was much different as ENMU managed 17 shots, including the one goal. The Greyhounds scored in the 69th minute on a Michael Stewart header off a corner kick. Julian Roberts registered the assist.

Although the Greyhounds totaled 25 shots in the 90 minutes, only six shots were on goal. The 11 Tiger shots were on target three times.

The Tigers return home for a Sunday game (Oct. 30) against Northeastern State, which knocked off the Tigers, 1-0, on Sept. 9 in the two teams' first meeting. The contest is the home finale for the Tigers and Senior Day for FHSU's senior, Travis Patzner.
