The Tiger men's basketball team plays its second game of a five-game homestand on Friday night against Central Christian College (Kan.). Game time is set for 7:30 pm, as the men follow the women's game at 5:30 pm. Fort Hays State enters at 2-0 overall.

The Tigers are coming off a 35-point win over Bethany College on Tuesday night by a score of 85-50. All but one player for FHSU scored in the game, led by Karron McKenzie with a career-high 17 points. He also added a career-high six steals in the game. Matt Simmons broke his career high for rebounds in a game with 17 and is averaging 16.5 through the first two games.

Fort Hays State has done a good job on limiting second-chance opportunities for opponents so far. The Tigers outrebounded Nebraska-Kearney in the season opener by 10 and Bethany by eight. FHSU has allowed just four second-chance points through the first two games, all at Nebraska-Kearney, after shutting out Bethany, which pulled down just four offensive rebounds against FHSU. The Tigers are allowing just 5.5 offensive rebounds per game so far.

Central Christian enters with a record of 3-3 after an overtime win at Hillsdale Baptist in Moore, Okla., Thursday night.
