The Fort Hays State women's basketball team faces a crucial MIAA matchup with Central Missouri on Saturday (Feb. 12). Both teams are currently 8-9 in conference play and tied for 8th in the standings. A win by the Lady Tigers would give them a season-sweep of the Jennies and a tiebreaker if the teams were to end the season tied in the standings.
Fort Hays State had a five game winning streak snapped on Thursday night at Truman 65-53. The Lady Tigers are now 11-10 overall and 8-9 in MIAA play.

Kara Champlin had a solid outing against Truman, scoring 13 points and grabbing four rebounds before fouling out.
Central Missouri is led by Rebecca Roberts, who averages 12.6 points per game, and Nicole Caddell and Kara Fleming who each average 11.9 ppg. Caddell also adds 7.6 rebounds per game while Roberts averages 6.5. Fleming leads the MIAA in assists per game, averaging 5.9 per game.
