FHSU Faces Central Oklahoma in Regional Semifinals Sunday

Listen Live I Live Stats I Game Notes

Fort Hays State gets a second top-25 match-up in as many days on Sunday when it faces South Central Regional host Central Oklahoma. The Tigers, ranked No. 13 in the nation, enter at 26-6 overall, while the Bronchos, ranked No. 4 in the nation, enter at 29-3. Game time is set for 7:30 pm at Hamilton Fieldhouse in Edmond, Okla.

The Tigers rolled to a 75-49 win over No. 23 ranked West Texas A&M in the first round Saturday night. Central Oklahoma, the No. 1 seed in the region, survived a massive scare from No. 8 seed Texas A&M-International in overtime. The Tigers have met Central Oklahoma in all of their last three appearances in the NCAA Tournament. The Bronchos clipped the Tigers in an opening round game in 2007-08, but FHSU took out UCO in the opening round last year.

The winner of Sunday's game will advance to the regional final on Tuesday and will face either No. 2 seed Missouri Southern or No. 6 seed Midwestern State.

Corbin Kuntzsch led the way for FHSU in the tournament opener with 17 points, scoring 14 in the first half. Dominique Jones added 15 with four 3-point field goals and Moses Dayee had all 12 of his points on 3-point field goals. Matt Simmons chipped in 10 with a team-high eight rebounds.
