O.J. Murdock, former wide receiver for Fort Hays State, was signed as an undrafted rookie free agent by the Tennessee Titans on Tuesday (July 26). Training camp for the Titans is scheduled to open on Friday and their first preseason game is scheduled for August 13.

A native of Tampa, Fla., Murdock set the FHSU single-season record for receiving yards in 2010 with 1,290 and was named an All-American by Football Gazette and D2Football.com. He also set the MIAA career record for yards per catch (20.9).

Murdock was a two-time All-MIAA selection and earned Don Hansen All-Super Region 4 honors in 2010. He also tied the FHSU single-season record in yards per catch (21.5) in 2010. His 12 touchdowns and 117.3 receiving yards per game were second most for a single season at FHSU. He had a total of 20 receiving touchdowns in his two years at FHSU. Murdock accumulated 1,987 receiving yards on 95 catches. Murdock participated in the Cactus Bowl (NCAA Division II All-Star Game) and East-West Shrine Game in January and participated in the NFL Scouting Combine in February.
