Yeverino’s 2 Early Goals Give Tigers 3rd Straight Win

Junior striker Ricardo Yeverino's hot start fueled the Tigers to a 3-1 win on the road at West Texas A&M in Canyon, Texas on Sunday (Sept. 18) afternoon. Yeverino scored two goals, his team leading sixth and seventh of the season, in the first 15 minutes of the match, as the Tigers won their third straight game, upping their record to 4-2 on the season.

Yeverino's first goal came less than three minutes into the match, heading the ball off a foul kick and into the back of the goal. He struck again at 15:30 to give the Tigers an early 2-0 advantage.

The Tigers pulled ahead to 3-0 on an Omar Aguilar goal at 58:12, his first goal of the season.

The host Buffaloes tallied their lone goal at 65:36 on a header by Rodrigo Morino. The goal was the final score of the 3-1 final.

Ryan Pakieser notched the win in goal for the Tigers, improving to 3-2 on the season.

FHSU looks to extend their winning streak on Friday (Sept. 23) when the Tigers welcome Colorado College to the FHSU Soccer Stadium at 8 p.m.
