The Fort Hays State women's basketball team looks to stay unbeaten on Tuesday night (Nov. 20) when it hosts Newman University at Gross Memorial Coliseum in Hays. FHSU enters with a record of 3-0, while Newman is 1-2.
Fort Hays State is coming off a 40-point win over Northwestern Oklahoma State this past Saturday afternoon. The Lady Tigers scored a season high 93 points in the victory. Fort Hays State has won all of its games this year by at least 40 points.
The last time Fort Hays State and Newman met was during the 2010-11 season with Newman winning that match-up 66-52 in Wichita. That was the only win ever for Newman against FHSU in women's basketball, as the Lady Tigers hold a 10-1 advantage over the Jets in the all-time series.
Kate Lehman continues to lead FHSU in scoring at 19.3 points per game.
Katelyn Edwards is leading the Tigers in rebounding (8.7) and assists (4.3).
