The Fort Hays State football team closes out the 2012 season on Saturday (Nov. 10) at Nebraska-Kearney. Game time is set for 12:30 pm. The Tigers and Lopers renew their long-time rivalry as the Lopers are now members of the MIAA. The teams have not met since 2005.

Fort Hays State (4-6, 3-6 MIAA) is looking to improve on its record from last year by one game after going 4-7 in 2011. Nebraska-Kearney has battled injuries all year at key positions and sits at 3-7 overall and 2-7 in the MIAA. The Lopers are on a three-game win streak after opening the season at 0-7. Fort Hays State enters Saturday's game with a three-game road win streak, its longest since 2004. FHSU is 3-2 in road games this season.

Nebraska-Kearney won the last meeting with FHSU in 2005 by a score of 54-20 in Hays when both were members of the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference. The Tigers won the last meeting against the Lopers in Kearney in 2004 by a score of 42-30. The winning team has scored at least 40 points in four of the last five meetings and no less than 38 in all five. The 42-30 win for FHSU in 2004 snapped a six-game losing streak in Kearney.

During the three-game road win streak, the Tigers have scored at least 37 points in each game. They had a season-high 41 points at South Dakota Mines two weeks ago. Fort Hays State is 4-1 overall when reaching 30 points in a game under Chris Brown.
