No. 17 Fort Hays State continues its recent home stand this weekend with matches against No. 25 Northeastern State and Harding. The Tigers will battle NSU on Thursday, Oct. 24 at 7 p.m. and Harding on Saturday, Oct. 26 at 1 p.m.
The Tigers (9-2-1, 4-1-1 MIAA) are in the midst of a three-game win streak and trail only No. 6 Lindenwood in the conference race.
FHSU is led offensively by the duo of
Ricardo Yeverino and
Diego Cabral. Yeverino has scored in four straight games (six goals in that span) while assisting in three straight, and has a team-high 20 points on the season (eight goals, four assists). Cabral has scored in four of his last five games, assisting in two of those, and has seven goals and four assists (18 points) for the season.
Kent Freund (360 minutes) and
Jason Babyak (775:23 minutes) have split time in goal this season, combining for 41 saves while allowing just 11 goals.
FHSU's Seniors - Yeverino and
Daniel Peralta - will be honored prior to Saturday's game for Senior Day.
