Fort Hays State football looks to push its winning streak to five games on Saturday (Nov. 2) when it hosts South Dakota School of Mines at Lewis Field Stadium in Hays. Kickoff is set for 2 pm.

Fort Hays State is enjoying its first four-game win streak in a season since 2004. That year the Tigers reeled off five straight to close out the season. After playing four nationally ranked teams to start the year, the Tigers are back to .500 overall after an 0-4 start. A win on Saturday would match the win total for the Tigers from last season.

Fort Hays State has been putting a lot of points on the board the last two weeks with 101. FHSU scored 56 in the win over Southwest Baptist two weeks ago and 45 last week at Lincoln.

Andre Smith leads the FHSU rushing attack with 651 yards on the ground this year. He ranks sixth in the MIAA in rushing yards per game (86.4). Treveon Albert has completed 59 percent of his passes for 1421 yards and 13 passing touchdowns. He also has four rushing touchdowns and 406 yards rushing. Keaton Callins leads Tiger receivers with 406 yards on 36 catches. Justin McPhail continues to lead the Tiger defense in tackles with 66.

Following Saturday's contest with South Dakota Mines, the Tigers will have two more MIAA games to close out their schedule. They'll be at Central Missouri on Nov. 9, then return home on Nov. 16 against Nebraska-Kearney.
