The 18th ranked Fort Hays State University men's soccer team travels south for two matches to close out the regular season this weekend. The Tigers will face Southern Nazarene on Friday at 7 p.m., and travel to West Texas A&M on Sunday for a 3 p.m. matchup.
FHSU (10-3-2, 5-1-2 MIAA) has already clinched a berth to the MIAA Tournament, though seeding could be improved with a win over SNU (2-15-0, 1-7-0 MIAA). Fort Hays State is currently tied with Northeastern State for the No. 2 position. The Tigers' contest with the Buffs (11-3-1) is a non-conference matchup and will have no impact on the tournament seeding.
The Tiger offense is led by
Ricardo Yeverino who has 10 goals and five assists (25 points). He is joined by
Diego Cabral who has eight goals and five assists (21 points). Between the pipes,
Jason Babyak has a 0.94 goals against average with 32 saves and four shutouts.
