The Fort Hays State men's basketball team hosts Missouri Southern in MIAA play on Saturday afternoon (Feb. 2) at Gross Memorial Coliseum in Hays. Game time is set for 4 pm. The Tigers are looking to push their win streak to three games and enter at 12-6 overall, 6-4 in the MIAA, while Missouri Southern enters at 9-9 overall, 4-6 in the MIAA.
Fort Hays State is coming off a seven-point win at home on Wednesday night against Central Oklahoma to remain tied for fifth in the MIAA standings with Pittsburg State and Lindenwood. The Tigers are just a half game out of third and fourth and only one game back of second in the MIAA standings.
Missouri Southern enters Saturday on a four-game losing streak. The last win for the Lions was on January 16 against Pittsburg State at home. The Lions lost two home and two road contests since, most recently a five-point loss at 21st-ranked Washburn on Thursday.
Dwayne Brunson continues to lead FHSU in scoring, rebounding and blocked shots. He is averaging 14.7 points, 8.0 rebounds, and 2.2 blocked shots per game. He leads the MIAA in blocked shots. Also scoring in double figures are

Craig Nicholson (13.3). Nicholson is the MIAA leader in assists, averaging 7.2 per game, which ranks second in NCAA Division II. Congiusta is the MIAA leader in 3-point field goals made per game (2.7).
Missouri Southern is led by Marquis Addison, who averages 17.6 points per game. Jordan Talbert also averages double figures at 12.7 points per game.
