The Fort Hays State women's basketball team looks to extend its win streak to six games when it plays at Nebraska-Kearney on Saturday (Feb. 16) in Kearney, Neb. Tipoff is set for 2 pm from the Health & Sports Center. Fort Hays State is 17-5 overall, 9-5 in the MIAA, while Nebraska-Kearney is 6-14 overall, 3-10 MIAA.
Fort Hays State is coming off a road win at Northwest Missouri State on Wednesday by a slim 54-53 margin. Despite being red hot, Fort Hays State remains sixth in the MIAA standings since all five teams ahead of them continue to win. Fort Hays State defeated Nebraska-Kearney 87-63 last Saturday in Hays. Fort Hays State has won the last four meetings between the teams.
Kate Lehman continues to lead the FHSU attack, averaging 15.5 points, 8.5 rebounds, and 4.1 blocked shots per game.
Katelyn Edwards is averaging 13.1 points and 8.0 rebounds per game. Nine Tigers average 3.0 points or better per game.
