In the midst of a three-game win streak, Fort Hays State University heads to Oklahoma this weekend for conference matchups with Central Oklahoma and Northeastern State.  The Tigers will take on the Bronchos at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 16, and the RiverHawks on Saturday, Jan. 18 at 1:30 p.m.

The squad enters the week holding the fourth position in the MIAA standings and sporting the current MIAA Athlete of the Week - Chelsea Mason.  Mason (15.3), Kate Lehman(15.4) and Katelyn Edwards (14.1) are averaging double-digits in points per game for the Tigers this season, and Lehman's 5.69 blocks per game lead all of NCAA Division II.  Last week, the Tigers outscored MIAA opponents Southwest Baptist, Lindenwood and Lincoln by an average of 31.3 points, and just missed 100 points against Lindenwood (99) and Lincoln (98).

FHSU holds a 2-1 advantage all-time against Central Oklahoma, winning last year's contest (the first in over 20 years between the schools) in Hays, Kan., 84-78.  Against NSU, the Tigers are 1-2 all-time, splitting the series last year.  FHSU lost, 44-54, in Tahlequah before winning, 61-42, at the MIAA Tournament in Kansas City, Mo.

** Fort Hays State scored 36 second half points to knock off Central Oklahoma, 64-38, on Thursday evening in Edmond, Okla.  Kate Lehman had a double-double in points (18) and rebounds (12), while Katelyn Edwards and Chelsea Mason each had 11 points.  Thursday's victory was the fourth straight for the Tigers.
