Fort Hays State looks to even its conference record on Saturday when it hosts Missouri Western at Gross Memorial Coliseum in Hays. Game time is set for 4 pm. The Tigers enter at 4-3 overall, 0-1 in the MIAA, while the Griffons are 3-3 overall, playing their first conference game of the season.
The Tigers are coming off a loss at home to No. 6 ranked Central Missouri. The Mules remained unbeaten on the season by a score of 80-71 and ran their overall win streak to 14 games dating back to last season after reeling off six straight in the NCAA Tournament to win the national title. FHSU and Central Missouri will not meet again in the regular season.
Fort Hays State owns a four-game home win streak on Missouri Western, that dates back to the 2009-10 season. The Tigers and Griffons last met in Hays in 2012-13, with FHSU winning that contest by 16 points. FHSU lost to Missouri Western in St. Joseph last year, 82-79 in overtime.
