HAYS, Kan. - It took 110 minutes to determine an outcome in Hays, Kan., Friday night (Oct. 23) during a non-conference match between conference foes. With a late goal in regulation, Fort Hays State forced overtime and eventually a 1-1 draw with Washburn.

Washburn found the back of the net first, when Paige Swanson received a pass from Emily Stauffer at the top of the box and beat FHSU goalkeeper
Abbie Flax in the upper right hand corner just 10:26 into the first half.

The score remained 1-0 for the next 76 minutes until

Kelsey Steffens 16 yards out, and after a shifty move to her right tied the game at the 86:53 mark.

The tie puts the Ichabods at 4-7-4 overall and the Tigers are now 7-7-1 overall. Flax moved to 2-1-1 overall on the season at goalkeeper.
