Fort Hays State women's basketball hosts Newman University in non-conference action on Tuesday night (Nov. 24) at Gross Memorial Coliseum in Hays. The No. 10 ranked Tigers enter the game at 4-0 overall, while Newman enters at 3-1. Game time is set for 5:30 pm.

The Tigers have four wins against Division II region opponents. FHSU won a pair of games in Marshall, Minn., to open the season against NSIC teams Upper Iowa and Southwest Minnesota State. This past weekend, they picked up a pair of hard fought wins over St. Cloud State of the NSIC and Regis University of the RMAC. Newman is a member of the Heartland Conference.

Newman's only blemish of the season was a 58-46 setback at Washburn University last Wednesday. The Jets have defeated Regis University, UC-Colorado Springs, and York College so far this year. They are led in scoring by Shaunice Robinson, who is averaging 15.5 points per game. Brianna Caldwell (12.3 points) and Mali Wright (11.8 points) also average double figures.

Jill Faxon leads the Tigers in scoring and rebounding, averaging 16.0 points and 6.0 rebounds per game. Beth Bohuslavsky is chipping in 11.3 points per game, while leading the team in assists at 3.3 per game.
