The 20
th-ranked Fort Hays State men's soccer team wraps up its home schedule with two MIAA matches this weekend. First the Tigers battle the Bearcats of Southwest Baptist on Friday (Oct. 28) at 7 pm for Senior Night before welcoming the RiverHawks of Northeastern State on Sunday (Oct. 30) at 1:30 pm.

The Tigers enter the weekend 10-3-1 overall and 3-1 in the MIAA. They are currently second in both the MIAA standings and the Central Region Rankings trailing Lindenwood. FHSU has already topped each of this weekend's opponents winning the prior matchups by three goals each.

Offense has been the strength all season as the Tigers have outscored opponents 43-16. The Tigers are tied for sixth in the nation in total goals scored. FHSU is also among the top in the nation for setting up teammates this season, tied for third nationally in assists with 37.

Leading the Tigers is the combination of
Derick Gonzalez and
Maurizio Costa. Gonzalez leads the team in goals with eight this season and Costa is the team leader in points with 19 (6 goals, 7 assists).
Mauricio Castorino has been the key table-setter as he leads the MIAA and is tied for fifth in the country with 10 assists.
Luis Torres has chipped in seven goals and
Luis Mendez has struck the ball past the goal line six times.

Southwest Baptist comes to Hays with an overall record of 0-13-2 and 0-7-1 in the MIAA. The Bearcats have struggled to produce goals with only nine for the season. Garrett Gibson leads the team with two goals and an assist.

Northeastern State enters Sunday's matchup with an overall record of 5-8-1 and an MIAA record of 1-4. Trevor Reed is the main offensive threat for NSU as he leads the team in points (13) and goals (6).
