Fort Hays State faces Central Oklahoma in the MIAA Tournament quarterfinals on Friday (Mar. 4) at Municipal Auditorium in Kansas City, Mo. Game time is 8:15 pm as it will be the last quarterfinal game of the day on Friday. Fort Hays State enters the game at 19-9 overall, while Central Oklahoma is 16-13.

Fort Hays State will be facing Central Oklahoma for a second consecutive game as the Bronchos served as the opponent in the regular season finale in Edmond. The Tigers are the No. 4 seed in the tournament and the Bronchos are the No. 5 seed. UCO defeated No. 12 seed Central Missouri on Tuesday night in the opening round to reach the quarterfinal game against the Tigers.

Fort Hays State and Central Oklahoma split the regular season meetings. Fort Hays State won 91-74 in Hays, while Central Oklahoma won 67-54 in Edmond. The advancing team on Friday will face either No. 1 seed Northwest Missouri State or No. 9 seed Lindenwood in the semifinals.

Fort Hays State was No. 4 in the most recent NCAA Region Rankings. A new set of rankings will be released on Wednesday afternoon.

Tigers of all ages are invited to share in the fun as we rally the Tiger basketball teams to victory in the 2016 MIAA Basketball Tournament! The Tiger Pep Band, Cheerleaders and Tiger Debs will be on hand to help you get in the Tiger Spirit.

Parties will be scheduled pending advancement in tournament play. All parties will be held at Johnny's Tavern, 1310 Grand Blvd and games will be held at Municipal Auditorium, 301 W 13th St, both in Kansas City, Mo. Cash bar/menu available at Johnny's. Enjoy a wide variety of appetizers, entrees, pizzas and so much more...there's something for every appetite, including Lenten options on Friday.
