Fort Hays State looks to continue its winning ways at home early in the 2018-19 season when it plays host to Central Christian College (Kan.) on Tuesday night (Nov. 27) in Hays. A 6-1 Central Christian team will provide a formidable challenge for 3-3 Fort Hays State in a game where both teams share the same nickname. Tipoff is at 7 pm inside Gross Memorial Coliseum.

Central Christian is a very athletic, as witnessed by Fort Hays State in the meeting between the teams last year in Hays. FHSU needed a 7-0 run in the final three and a half minutes of the game to get past CCC 64-57. Central Christian played FHSU very tight last year, holding the lead a few times with under 10 minutes to play. FHSU comes into the meeting on Tuesday with a 17-0 mark against Central Christian all time.

Fort Hays State is coming off a win over Sterling College on Saturday evening in Hays by a score of 99-73.
Brady Werth led the Tigers with 22 points, while
Aaron Nicholson added 17.
Trey O'Neil (12),
Jared Vitztum (11), and
Kyler Kinnamon (10) also reached double figures in points. Kinnamon tied his career high for assists in the game with eight.

Marcus Cooper (14.5) and Werth (14.3) both average over 14 points per game. Nicholson is also averaging double figures at 11.3 points per game, while knocking down a team-high 13 3-point field goals this season. Kinnamon is dishing out 4.7 assists per game.

Central Christian comes into the game on a six-game win streak, scoring at least 90 points in the last five games. CCC scored over 100 points in four of the last five games.
